Hardcore Pilates
Hard Core Pilates is a Los Angeles Pilates studio. It had all the raw material of a powerful wellness brand: a loyal community and a team of passionate experts. But online, that power wasn’t translating. This is my step-by-step process to reposition the studio as an authority and wellness brand.
-
The original digital presence was functional, but visually basic, dark, dense, and fragmented. The website held information, but it didn’t communicate the value of the studio. The Instagram page showed activity, but lacked cohesion. The brand had community, but not yet a clear ecosystem. It had offerings, but not enough structure around growth. The opportunity was not simply to “redesign a website.” It was to clarify the brand, elevate the experience, and build a digital foundation that could support the next chapter of the business.
We began with a full audit of the existing website and brand presence, looking at the customer journey from first impression to booking. The audit revealed key opportunities to simplify the navigation, sharpen the messaging, create a stronger visual identity, clarify the calls-to-action, and build trust through the people behind the method.
In addition, I created an interview questionnaire that was filled out by every team member so that I could get a fuller understanding of the brand’s heart.
-
From the audit, I realized how incredibly professional and experienced the team was.
In order to reflect that online, the goal was to make the site feel like the studio itself: strong, professional. I rebuilt the website into a cleaner, brighter home exuding authority.
The visual language shifted from dark and crowded to elevated, spacious, and editorial. Stronger typography and refined layouts gave the brand clarity and room to breathe.
Rather than relying on amateur or generic fitness imagery, we planned a team photoshoot to bring the instructors to the forefront and position them as professionals.
-
A key part of the brand work was identifying the line that could hold the emotional promise of the business:
Become your strongest self.
Simple, direct, and expansive, the tagline gave the brand a clear point of view. It moved the messaging beyond exercise and into transformation — strength not only as a physical outcome, but as a feeling, a lifestyle, and a deeper relationship to self.
Together, we aligned the Instagram presence to create a more cohesive first impression across platforms. The feed became lighter, cleaner, and more intentional — moving away from scattered content toward a visual world that felt recognizable, professional, and connected to the studio’s essence.
-
Once the foundation was clear, we expanded the brand architecture to support new revenue opportunities.
We created the framework for Corporate Pilates, positioning Hard Core Pilates as a partner for healthier, happier teams. This opened the door for the studio to move beyond individual classes and into workplace wellness — a strategic expansion designed to serve companies, increase visibility, and create a new business-to-business revenue stream.
We also developed The Core Club, a members’ club for the studio’s most committed clients. More than a perks program, it was designed as a brand extension: local, intentional, elevated, and community-driven. The Core Club gave Hard Core Pilates a way to deepen loyalty, celebrate its best clients, and build partnerships with aligned local businesses. I personally helped the studio secure partnerships with brands like Fraise LA and Best Day Ever Kids.
Alongside this, we created a Referral Program to turn existing client love into a more intentional growth channel. The studio already had word-of-mouth momentum; the work was to give that behavior structure, language, and a clear path.
Lastly, in an effort to take advantage of the space during slow hours, the studio launched new offerings like to offering Workshops and Soundbaths.

“Working with Marine has been an absolute game changer. Not only did she create a beautiful and professional website, but she also helped me increase my clients and revenue. She has a rare combination of being logical, strategic, and incredibly intuitive. I often had loose ideas and scattered thoughts, and she has this amazing ability to untangle everything and turn it into clear, simple, and actionable steps. She is genuinely kind and very easy to work with. Throughout the entire process, I felt supported, understood, and in very good hands. I highly recommend her.”

Hard Core Pilates went from having a functional website that explained what the studio offered to having a brand platform that expressed why it matters.
The result is a digital presence that feels clear, confident, and deeply aligned. Our work together transformed the website from a static online presence into a business ecosystem — one that supports the studio’s day-to-day operations while setting the stage for a larger future: more retention, more clients, stronger community, new partnership opportunities, corporate wellness, and a brand that finally reflects the caliber of the team and quality of the work happening inside the room.
This is the kind of transformation that happens when design is not treated as decoration, but as strategy.
